Biography

Kevin started tutoring in high school like many tutors do – tutoring friends, family friends, and siblings of friends. He quickly realized his passion and aptitude for teaching but chose to pursue his interests in math and engineering by studying Computer Science at the University of Pennyslvania.

However, he found himself naturally drawn to teaching, this time as a research assistant developing computer science curricula for primary school children. After being recommended by his mentor, he transitioned into working as a teaching assistant for CIS 110 (Introduction to Computer Science). Along the way, he added a second major in Psychology to further explore his interest in education.

Upon graduation, Kevin combined his strengths to tutor math, computer science, and standardized test prep, in addition to helping students apply to colleges. His work has taken him to various private tutoring companies, a boutique college counseling firm, and even a stint as Director of College Counseling at a elite private school.

After years of cultivating experience, Kevin decided to create Atlas Tutoring to work directly with families and provide the services they need. He’s since worked with hundreds of happy students and satisfied families!
